Vienna

Vienna belongs to one of the most beautiful cities in the world and is since years in the top 3 most livable cities.

It has a very well functioning plublic transport system, working during weekends throughout the night. It is also very safe.

The venue is located in the district of the city of Mödling, just 5km south of the Vienna district.

In walking distance from the venue there is one of the largest shopping mall in Europe: Shopping Center | WESTFIELD SHOPPING CITY SÜD with cinemas, restaurants and many shops.

The EMUCC is partnering with various hotels around the shopping mall (see accommodation).

Climate

Vienna has a dry continental climate with hot summers. End of August temperatures generally fall in a range of 18°C to 28°C, but sometimes it can be rainy.

The area is generally not very windy at the end of August, which give the best preconditions for high level and spectacular Ultimate!

ACCESSIBILITY

Public Transport

All playing venues are along the same tramway line called Badnerbahn or Local Train to Baden. The tram starts from the Vienna Central Station and it takes about 35’ to reach the venues.

The trams goes regularly with 8’ or 15’ intervals.

Venue stops:

For the venue Südstadt Sport Center exit Südstadt bei Wien Südstadt Bahnhof.

For the venue Wiener Neudorf Sport Center exit Wiener Neudorf Bahnhof.

For the venue Neu Guntramsdorf Sport Center exit Neu-Guntramsdorf Lokalbahn. There will be no shuttle service between accommodations and fields.

BY CAR

The Venues are easily reachable by car and they are just next to a freeway exit “Exit 7 - Mödling“. You need to have a valid toll ticket (“Vignette”) in order to drive on the motorway.

In all sport centers there is plenty of public parking spaces free of charge.
